They made a stand for the ground God gave them
 Mike and his friends never dreamed when they went to find a place to pray while stationed at Fort Sam Houston in Texas that they would wind up in a courtroom fighting for their freedom.
They never imagined that their simple prayer meeting would lead to them having to make a stand for the growing meetings they were having under a tree in a field. Commanded not to preach or hold services they had to decide weather the ground they were standing on would be worth fighting for all the way to a Special Courtmartial.
They had gone to the Chaplain and the base commander requesting a place to meet and pray. Their request met on deaf ears. They had told the authorities that they pray out loud and didn't want to bother any of the soldiers in the barraks. Walking home dejected they say a little hill with a tree on top about 100 yards from the barraks. They said, well lets try out the tree. At about 11 they heard yelling. Looking down the hill they saw a number of G.I's yealling and throwing beer cans.
One of them said, God just spoke to my heart, that, If well stand for this ground that God has given us He will send revival.
Well word got out and by the next morning in ranks all the companies were stirred up. We were called out and ordered to cease our illegial gatherings. We said no. We were sent to meet the company captain and
told we would get a summary courtmartial if we refused to obey the command to: Cease and decist our Illegial unauthorized gatherings.
That night we had been chided by the entire company that we wouldn't meet at the tree that night or we would reicieve a Summary Courtmartial. At dinner we sat alone, everyone laughing, "bet they won't go to the tree tonight".
Well, we decided since they had made an issue of it
we were almost obligated to go. That night as we stood at the road, we never realized that when we walked up the hill and made a stand for the little piece of ground God had given us that we would see the most unbelievable searies of miracles we ever dreamed.
We saw hundreds of christians meeting at our tree. Churches in San Antonio brought bus groups to stand with us. Hundreds would be saved. And hundreds of doors would open all the way to Europe.
